Job Description

Occupational Summary:

*This 2nd shift position is responsible for performing a wide variety of first piece, in-process and final inspection duties on all machined parts and assemblies, following standard practices.

Essential Functions:

* Work from blueprints, drawings, process sheets, as well as written and verbal instructions.

* Work with precision measuring instruments such as gauges

* Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspection of all machined parts involving numeric control, working with close and liberal tolerances

* Perform visual inspection as well as using precision measuring instruments

* Perform floor inspections, checking parts at various intervals

* Reject, tag parts, prepare and maintain defective parts records and reports

* Verify calibrations of gauges and related inspection equipment and supplies

* Follow prescribed safety rules and regulations and conform to OSHA regulations

* Perform housekeeping duties as necessary to maintain area in a neat and orderly fashion

* Perform other duties as directed or required

Education:

*High School Diploma or equivalent, G.E.D., or HiSET

Other Requirements:

*Must have a solid work history

*The ability to read and understand complex written and verbal instructions in English

*The ability to work independently or as a part of a small team.

*The successful completion of a background check

Physical Requirements:

*Must have the ability to lift up to 40lbs

*Stand for long periods of time

*Use of hands to carry out job functions as well as lifting, carrying, bending, walking, pushing, pulling and stooping during the course of the job
