Job Title: Budget Analyst

Reports To: Manager of Budgeting and Operations Development

Department: Operations

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt/Hourly

Position Status: Full-Time

Location: United States (remote)

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5 pm � subject to change based on project assignments/deadlines

Base Pay Range: $27.89 - $30.29 per hour ($58,011.20 - $63,003.20 per year)

Travel: Up to 5% of the time, on approved assignment

Job Summary

The Analyst position supports the growth, performance, and infrastructure of the Operations team through financial, operational, and data-driven analysis. This role works cross-functionally with internal stakeholders to develop forecasts, analyze historical performance, draft annual budgets, and support strategic decision-making across a portfolio of real estate assets.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Produce complete annual budgets and reforecasts for each managed facility and for corporate departments as needed.
  • Develop and maintain financial and operational analyses, forecasts, and ad hoc projects as needed.
  • Translate data from multiple sources into clear, actionable insights for management.
  • Work collaboratively with other internal departments to complete projects and initiatives.
  • Leverage data tools and programming languages (e.g., SQL, Python, or similar) to extract, manipulate, and analyze large datasets.
  • Assist with process improvement initiatives related to data quality, reporting automation, and analytical workflows.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
    • Periodic special projects and duties may be assigned based on Company need and requirements
    • Must be able to perform a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another, with frequent interruptions or distractions and within tight deadlines

Qualifications

Education / Experience

  • Bachelor�s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or equivalent from an accredited college or university highly preferred
  • Accounting experience preferred
  • Relevant years of work experience may substitute for the degree requirement
  • Foundational knowledge of accounting terms and concepts

Skills

  • Proficiency with accounting concepts such as journal entries, GAAP compliance, and financial reporting
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
  • Experience working with historical financial and operational data to develop forward-looking assumptions
  • Data-oriented mindset with working knowledge of SQL, Python, or similar analytical/programming tools
  • Experience with statistical analysis, data science, and/or data visualization tools preferred
  • Familiarity with flagship AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, and Grok
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex analyses to diverse stakeholders including senior leadership
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and shifting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Proactive, self-motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively in a team setting
  • Professional demeanor with sound judgment, discretion, and the ability to handle confidential matters appropriately
  • Ability to understand and comply with company policies and relevant industry standards
  • Interest or experience in real estate operations, asset performance, or portfolio analytics preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills highly preferred
