Overview / Job Summary:
WSU Tech is seeking an enthusiastic, tech-savvy individual to serve as a FutureMaker Events Demonstrator. This role engages students and community members by showcasing technical careers in STEM fields. You’ll help bring hands-on experiences to life through the FutureMaker Lab, supporting school visits, community events, and campus activities that inspire the next generation of skilled professionals.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Engage participants and demonstrate STEM and technical career pathways in aviation, manufacturing, healthcare, construction sciences, and other fields.
  • Operate audio, visual, and virtual/augmented-reality equipment in a variety of settings on and off campus.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining new hands-on, interactive activities to promote technical education.
  • Support event setup and teardown, including transportation and storage of lab equipment.
  • Present to groups of students in an engaging, professional, and age-appropriate manner.
  • Provide outstanding customer service and represent WSU Tech positively at all times.
  • Travel as needed, including some evenings and weekends.
  • Collaborate with the FutureMaker Lab team on program improvements and maintenance projects.
