Under the supervision of the Health Center Director, the licensed nurse is responsible for support in the operation of the IA summer program health center, performs nursing assessments and treats student and staff illness and injuries following the Nurse Practice Act, State laws, and IA Health Center Policy and Procedures.  The nurse will provide nursing care for summer program participants aged 5-19 during the summer with a variety of health needs ranging from minor illnesses and injuries, to chronic illnesses such as asthma and diabetes. Minimum requirements are current state nursing licensure and two years clinical experience.
