Job Description

Join our growing Neurohospitalist Team at PeaceHealth Sacred Heart Medical Center at RiverBend, an established team of experienced physicians and APCs. 

PeaceHealth RiverBend has a closed Neuro ICU, staffed with Neurointensivists. We are the dominant Comprehensive Stroke program in the Willamette Valley offering infrastructure, and multidisciplinary team of support. PeaceHealth is a female founded and female led mission-based health care system.

Practice Highlights:

    • Designated Comprehensive Stroke center managing approximately 1,300+ strokes annually.
    • Supported by a team of four endovascular surgical Neuroradiologists, providing advanced neurointerventional care.
    • Close collaboration with an experienced neurosurgery team, ensuring 24/7 access to surgical expertise for complex cerebrovascular and neurosurgical cases.
    • Average 3- 5 stoke alerts and 10 - 15 patients/day with both a Physician and Clinician/shift. 

    · Comprehensive Neurological Spectrum, our patient population spans the full breadth of neurologic disease, with a strong focus on impatient care and telemedicine.

    Flexible 7 on/7 off Schedule:

    • Alternate between blocks of day shifts: (7 a.m. – 4 p.m.) never within the same block.
    • Night coverage includes a mix of in-house and teleneurology responsibilities.

    TeleNeurology Expansion:

    • Participate in a pilot phase of teleneurology with significant opportunities for future program growth and development.

    24/7 EEG Tech and Neurophysiologist Support:

    • Continuous EEG Monitoring for real-time EEG interpretation and consultation, ensuring rapid response to critical events and comprehensive neurodiagnostic support.

    Open to Diverse Backgrounds:

    • Vascular neurology trained is preferred but not required.
    • Any Neurology subspecialty with an interest in inpatient neurology is encouraged to apply.
    • Early-career neurologists will be considered.
    • Visa sponsorship available.
