Job Summary
The Relationship Manager I will work closely with the Regional Relationship Manager in developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients and providing quality customer service.
Essential Duties:
· Meet and/or exceed established sales and revenue goals while keeping expenses minimized. Manage service levels against customer expectations; identify quality gaps and follow-up with actions plans to address problem areas
· Establish and maintain an excellent rapport with bank customers, including those with complex financing and depository requirements by making monthly retention calls on selected customers
· Assist with risk management and ensure all team members are protecting the interests of Farmers & Merchants Bank while enhancing the customer experience
· Resolve complex servicing problems, particularly for most profitable relationships
· May engage in business activities by soliciting new accounts within the branch geographical area
· Assist Regional Relationship Manager in driving successful branch sales targets and developing a productive sales team through mentoring and coaching to meet and exceed established sale objectives
· Assist with management of loan portfolios including loan covenants
· May assist Regional Relationship Manager with the analysis of current credit data and financial statements of individuals or business to determine the degree of risk involved in extending credit or lending money
· Collaborate with the Branch Manager on employee development, management activities and operational functions
The essential duties of this position have been identified to include actions or activities that meet the definition of mortgage loan originator (MLO) under the Secure and Fair Enforcement for Mortgage Licensing Act (S.A.F.E Act). As such, employees may be required to complete and maintain MLO registration through the National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) as a mandatory requirement of this position, at the discretion of the Bank.

Complies with all State and Federal Banking regulatory requirements, including but not limited to: BSA, Anti-Money Laundering OFAC, CIP, Financial Elder Abuse Reporting, Sexual Harassment, Information Security and privacy requirements. Acts as the control point for the office to ensure that all CIP, BSA, OFAC requirements, procedures and time frames are met.

Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or related discipline is preferred but not required
- A minimum of 5 -10 years of experience in field or related area with a strong emphasis on customer service and sales
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to travel to various bank locations as needed
- Some Saturday hours are required
