Job Description

Description

Orders parts, posts parts in Proceed system, codes vendor invoices for accounts payable department, returns parts to vendors for credit, takes parts and cores out of inventory system for return to vendors. Prepares credits for customer returns.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

 

  • Processes all parts orders
  • Maintains all paperwork such as orders, packing slips and returns awaiting vendor invoices.
  • Ensures that parts are posted into inventory system
  • Codes all parts invoices with appropriate reference information for accounting.
  • Removes parts and cores from inventory system to return to vendors.
  • Returns parts to vendors for credit.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE & TRAINING

Computer experience and literacy required.  High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents in English such as safety rules, policies, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence in English.  Ability to speak in English effectively before individuals, groups of customers, or employees of organization.

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.  Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

 

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

 

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS 

Florida Operators' Drivers License.  Must maintain insurability for business purpose vehicle operations.
