JOB DESCRIPTION: Behavioral Health Coach

Job Title:

Behavioral Health Coach – TLC Wellness

Location:

Audubon, PA + Hybrid/Virtual Options

Employment Type:

Full-Time

About TLC Wellness:

TLC Wellness is a growing outpatient behavioral health practice supporting children, adolescents, adults, and families through therapy, evaluations, and skill-based coaching services.  Our coaching model bridges the gap between therapy and real-life application—supporting clients in building skills, structure, and confidence in their daily lives. We take a collaborative, family-centered, and strengths-based approach to care.

Position Summary:

The Behavioral Health Coach provides structured, goal-oriented coaching to individuals and families across the lifespan. This role focuses on skill development, behavior change, and real-world functioning, while maintaining clear boundaries from clinical therapy services.  Coaches may work within one or more specialty areas including executive functioning, parent coaching, emotional regulation, school-related challenges, life transitions, and neurodiversity support.

Areas of Focus (Based on Experience & Interest):

- Executive functioning (organization, planning, time management)

- ADHD and neurodiversity support

- Parent coaching and caregiver support

- School and academic functioning

- Emotional regulation and coping skill development (non-clinical)

- Life transitions (college, career, independence)

- Social skills and communication

- Behavior support and routine development

Key Responsibilities:

Coaching & Skill Development:

- Provide 1:1 coaching to children, adolescents, and/or adults based on area of expertise

- Support clients in setting goals, building routines, and improving follow-through

- Teach practical, actionable strategies to improve daily functioning and independence

- Help clients apply skills learned in therapy or evaluations into real-world settings

Parent & Family Support:

- Provide coaching to parents/caregivers on structure, consistency, and behavior strategies

- Support family systems in implementing sustainable routines and expectations

Collaboration:

- Work collaboratively with therapists, evaluators, and other providers within TLC Wellness

- Maintain clear role boundaries between coaching and clinical services

- Participate in team communication and care coordination as appropriate

Documentation:

- Maintain clear and concise documentation of coaching goals, sessions, and progress

- Track outcomes and adjust coaching approach as needed

Ideal Candidate Profile:

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in education, psychology, social work, counseling, or related field

- Required: Certification in coaching (ICF or equivalent)

- Experience working with children, adolescents, adults, or families in behavioral health or educational settings

- Strength-based, practical, and action-oriented approach

- Ability to balance support with accountability

- Strong organizational and communication skills

- Comfortable working independently and as part of a collaborative team

Preferred:

- Experience with neurodiverse populations (ADHD, learning differences, autism)

- Experience with parent coaching or family work

- Experience in school systems or educational support

Role Clarity:

This position provides coaching and skill-building support, not therapy. Coaches do not diagnose or provide clinical treatment, but may work alongside clinical services to support functional progress.

Compensation & Structure:

- Full-time position

- Competitive compensation (commensurate with experience)

- Flexible scheduling (in-person and virtual)

- Opportunities to develop specialty areas and programming

Why Join TLC Wellness:

- Be part of a growing, innovative behavioral health model

- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team

- Help shape a flexible and expanding coaching program

- Make meaningful, practical impact in clients’ daily lives
