Description

  

The Senior Accountant is a hands-on contributor to the monthly close process and broader corporate accounting activities. This role supports the preparation of journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and month end close schedules, while also assisting with general ledger integrity, financial reporting, and related accounting processes. This is a corporate accounting position operating under the oversight and direction of the Controller.

Requirements

  

· Support payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash application and collection processes. Assist with related accounting entries and reconciliations as needed.

· Assist with cash-related reporting and analysis, including preparation of supporting schedules used in cash flow monitoring. Analyze, reconcile, and maintain supporting schedules for general ledger accounts and ensure timely resolution of all reconciling items

· Assist with preparation, review, and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements

· Execute and support the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process, including preparation of journal entries and supporting workpaper documentation 

· Support the accuracy and completeness of financial data in the general ledger in accordance with GAAP and company policies 

· Assist in the preparation of internal financial reporting and variance analysis 

· Work cross-functionally with internal departments (e.g., FP&A, Operations) to validate financial activity and resolve discrepancies 

· Support external audit and additional compliance requirements, including preparation of audit & tax schedules and related documentation 

· Identify process improvement opportunities and assist with software or organizational change implementation efforts to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and controls within the accounting function

· Maintain functional knowledge of key financial operations processes and provide backup coverage for select tasks during staff absences or peak periods, as needed to support department continuity and accurate accounting. Assist with ad hoc projects and analysis as requested by the Controller or Finance leadership  

· Champion P&A Group values and policies.

· Maintain data protection, privacy, security and maintain HIPAA compliance for participants and clients.

· Completes any additional assignments as requested by the Controller or Finance leadership.

· Ad-Hoc reporting, analysis and presentations as required
