Requirements

• Master’s degree or higher required


• Valid Texas Teacher’s Certificate required


• Texas Principal Certificate preferred


• 10 years experience in the field of special education


• Served as Director of Special Education preferred


• LPC, LSSP or equivalent preferred


• Demonstrates supervisory and leadership skills


• Possess extensive knowledge of MTSS


• Ability to plan implement, deliver, and sustain professional development for


• leaders


• Expertise in team building


• Strong organizational, communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills


• Knowledge of federal and state accountability


• Recommended by the ESC Executive Director


• Any acceptable variations of the above as approved by the ESC Executive
