Credit Underwriter 2   Salary Range: $29.00 - $40.00/ Hr.

The Credit Underwriter 2 performs credit and collections functions for CNC Associates, Inc. Mexico FA 2 position.

 

 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Assist in assessing and grading applicant credit and preparing informational requests for internal reports.
  • Assist in training junior Finance Administrators and credit personnel.
  • Assume primary credit underwriting responsibility for transactions over $250,000.
  • Develop models of credit information to help predict trends and patterns.
  • Utilize professional judgement to determine which potential borrowers represent acceptable risk profiles for the organization.
  • Review active open files daily and communicate with dealers and in house staff regarding status.
  • Coordinate all aspects of the application process from date of receipt through date of funding to include reviewing and securing all contract documents.
  • Audit outbound contracts sent by Dealer.
  • Collection of credit score data for quarterly update of scorecards.
  • Keep well informed as to market conditions as it relates to assessing risk in credit transactions.
  • Participate or lead administrative team meetings or events as necessary.
  • Provide ideas and suggestions on continuous improvement initiatives to Supervisor or Manager.
  • Assist with account inquiries and collection efforts.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Read, write and speak Spanish fluently.
  • 0-5% travel required.

Education

Bachelor's Degree BA/BS/BFA/BSA from a four-year college or university is required, plus additional related experience, training and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
