The CCBHC Data Specialist supports the success of Rivervalley’s Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) by ensuring accurate data collection, reporting, and analysis across all service lines. This role plays a critical part in helping the organization meet state, federal, and grant-funded reporting requirements. The Data Specialist collaborates closely with clinical, administrative, and leadership teams to maintain data integrity, improve workflows, and support performance outcomes that drive high-quality behavioral health services.
Key Responsibilities
Data Collection & Quality Assurance

Collect, review, and validate CCBHC data submitted by clinical and program staff.

Monitor data accuracy, completeness, timeliness, and compliance with federal and state CCBHC reporting standards.

Identify errors, trends, or inconsistencies and work with teams to correct issues.

Maintain data dashboards, performance trackers, and monitoring tools.
Reporting & Compliance

Prepare required state, federal, and grant-related CCBHC reports, including quality metrics, service utilization, access measures, and outcome data.

Support monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting cycles.

Ensure documentation and workflows align with CCBHC compliance requirements.

Assist with audit preparation and provide supporting data as needed.
Data Systems & Technology

Utilize Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems to extract, analyze, and manage data.

Develop and maintain spreadsheets, databases, and reporting tools.

Support implementation and optimization of data processes within the CCBHC model.

Troubleshoot data system issues and collaborate with IT and vendors as needed.
Collaboration & Communication

Work closely with program leaders, clinicians, billing, and quality improvement teams to support data needs.

Provide clear communication on data expectations, deadlines, and quality issues.

Assist teams with understanding data reports and performance indicators.
Performance Improvement

Support quality improvement initiatives by providing trend data, identifying gaps, and tracking progress.

Recommend enhancements to data processes and documentation workflows.

Participate in CCBHC meetings and workgroups focused on outcomes, metrics, and compliance.
