Job Description

Role Overview

In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain scalable front‑end solutions that enable robust data integration and synchronization across distributed systems. You’ll work closely with partner systems and cross‑functional teams to ensure seamless data flow, high performance, and reliability, while also providing technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.

In this role, you will 

Design, develop, and maintain data integration and synchronization solutions using Angular.

Collaborate with multiple partner systems to ensure seamless data flow between systems, ensuring data consistency and reliability.

Optimize and troubleshoot data integration pipelines for performance, scalability, and fault tolerance.

Lead the development of front-end and some back-end components to support data integration workflows.

Mentor and guide junior engineers, providing technical leadership and best practices.

Document system architecture, design decisions, and implementation details for maintainability and knowledge sharing.

 

Required skills: what you need to be considered

8+ years of experience as UI Engineer or in a similar role, with a focus on data integration and distributed systems.

Expertise in latest Angular framework for building scalable and efficient data processing applications.

Proficiency in working with NgRx, RxJS , Signals and Nx in Angular framework

Solid understanding of different aspects of front-end development using Angular.

Experience in authenticating and authorizing angular based UI and back-end REST services

Good knowledge of RESTful APIs and microservices integration with front end.

Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience working in cross-functional teams.

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.

Experience with java-based backend applications

Experience with Java EE frameworks (i.e., Spring framework)

Experience with GITHUB, Bitbucket, IntelliJ and copilot

Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, and related query languages

Experience with big/distributed/non-relational data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Cassandra).

Salary and Other Compensation:

We regularly assess market data to ensure we offer a competitive compensation package for our associates. The base salary for this position ranges between $60,000 – $110,000 per year. Where the successful candidate may fall within the range depends on relevant education, work and/or management experience and other business-related and job-necessary qualifications. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual performance-based bonus, as well as benefits that support your physical, mental and financial wellbeing. 

Working arrangements

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 2 days a week in a client office in Toronto, ON.
