Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Chemist to join our team! As a Chemist, you will be working as part of a larger team conducting daily, routine testing of chemicals, water, raw materials, and finished products using various techniques and equipment, as necessary. You will also be reviewing notes, maintaining accurate and thorough records of your results, and writing reports on both short and long-term findings. The ideal candidate has excellent attention to detail, is familiar with basic safety regulations, and works well both independently and as part of a larger team.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine testing on a variety of materials and products
- Maintain excellent records of tests and results
- Perform appropriate setup and cleanup of the laboratory
- Make recommendations to other teams and staff based on your results
- Clean and calibrate laboratory equipment, as needed
- |Under regular supervision, carries out assignments that are routine and require minimal technical judgment and accuracy.
- Possesses knowledge, skills, and abilities to conduct their primary assigned tasks such as sample preparation or operating portable instruments (e.g., GC, GC/MS, HPLC, ICP/AES, ICP/MS) to analyze organic and/or inorganic compounds, data review or conducting laboratory support activities with direction and oversight as well as sufficient versatility to support additional assigned tasks as needed to meet client requirements.
Qualifications
- A minimum bachelor’s in chemistry
- Minimum of 4 years' experience
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
