Duties and Responsibilities

The day-to-day duties of the CNC Machinist may vary, dependent on workload. To successfully perform the requirements of this position, it is preferred that the employee have one year of related experience, be motivated and extremely quality minded. The right candidate will possess good organizational skills and be able to work independently

Roles are available for day (5:00am – 3:30pm M-Th) as well as evening 4:00pm – 2:30am M-Th) shifts.

Core Responsibilities:

Safely operate in a high mix/low volume production machining environment
Read blueprints, perform inspections.
Set up/operate CNC vertical/horizontal/boring mills, CNC lathes and other manual machinery to produce items used in our welded fabrications.

Mill Machinist Role:

Understand job setup including open setups
Speed/Feed selection to optimize runtime, quality in carbon steel parts
High speed steel and carbide tools
Ability to program at the controller
Ability to program offline a plus (currently running latest version of MasterCam)

Lathe Machinist Role:

Basic 2 Axis bar-feed CNC Lathe
Ability to setup from prints
Knowledge of tooling types, right tool selection for the job

(2) DOOSAN DNM500 Vertical Machining Centers, X40” / Y 21.2” / Z 20” w/ 4th axis interface.
DOOSAN LYNX 220L 20”D / 20”L / 2.99 Spindle Bore, Lathe w/ 12’ auto bar feed.
HAAS TL-3 CNC/Manual Tool room Lathe, 20” X 60” HAAS TM-1 Tooling Mill, X 30” / Y 12” / Z 16” Radial Arm Drills Column 13” w/ 6’ Arm Column 18” w/ 6’ Arm Column 20” w/ 8’ Arm Column 24” w/ 10’ Arm
