The Customer Support Business Group focuses on enabling our customers with premier customer support throughout their lifecycle with Lam. We drive performance, productivity, safety, and quality of customers installed base performance and deliver service and lifecycle solutions for their most critical equipment and processes.

 

The impact you’ll make

As a Materials Planner at Lam, you play a vital role in coordinating the movement of materials throughout the production cycle. You determine material requirements and specifications, produce needed materials, and maintain bills of materials (BOM). Your expertise in material management will help shape Lam's streamline and cost-effective production processes.

What you’ll do

In this role, based in Meylan, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing Lam inventory for defined customer and region, ensuring high service levels while balancing inventory cost and efficiency. You will act as the primary interface between the customer, Lam Spares Operations, and internal stakeholders for all planning, forecasting, and inventory availability matters.

  • Analyzes and evaluates inventory and recommends, best, commercially reasonable stocking levels solutions, in line with valid service level.
  • Analyzes slow moving and surplus inventories on a permanent basis and recommends appropriate actions in close cooperation with Global Panning Group, TechSupport and Customer Service Group.
  • Establishes and executes Inventory Planning Process in line with company goals, respecting Installed Base, forecasted systems,
  • Customer Fab environments, e.g. WSPW, changes in Process, seize conversions, etc.
  • Controls service levels, inventory turns and inventory cost, including related reporting.
  • Generates and provides data to analyze and report inventory performance (i.e. “hit rate”) and other relevant Spares and inventory information.
  • May perform other related duties as assigned or requested as Customer’s presentations during Spares meetings.
  • Conduct regular stock audits in person on customer consigned inventory.
  • Held regular meetings with customers to present service level, understand customer consumption forecast.
  • Ability to work within an international team, flexibility to limited business travel ( not exceeding 10%).

Who we’re looking for

  • 6+ years of experience in spares and /or materials planning control within semiconductor spares business
  • Qualified technical or commercial education/degree in related field or discipline.
  • Alternatively, university degree in procurement and business operation.
  • Excellent English and French, alternatively Italian language skills.
  • Excellent MSOffice skills (Excel, Access, and PowerPoint)
  • Good knowledge of material management in SAP (R/3 or S/4HANA).
  • Familiarity with planning tools such as SPM or similar systems
