Position Summary

Are you an energetic, organized, and customer-focused leader who enjoys working outdoors? Join our team as a Tube Rental Lead and help deliver exceptional experiences to our guests! This seasonal leadership role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, fun environment and wants to make a real impact each day.

The tube rental lead position requires a professional, fun, energetic individual with good organization and communication skills to facilitate processes required to provide guests with equipment rentals and lessons at the SCT warehouse location.  This position works with guests of varying ages and supervises the tube attendants who are responsible for equipment preparation and maintenance, customer rental transactions and interactions, and site preparation and cleanliness. The tube rental lead is a primary contact for location partners. The position requires work to be performed outside in all conditions and to prioritize the safety of co-workers and guests. This position provides leadership to the tube rental assistants 1 and 2 staff.  

Essential Functions / Major Responsibilities

Lead the Team

  • Assign daily tasks to tube rental attendants and oversee day-to-day operations. 

  • Train and support staff in POS systems, safety protocols, guest service, and local knowledge. 

  • Conduct daily team huddles focused on safety and service excellence. 

Oversee Equipment & Site Operations

  • Supervise setup, maintenance, and teardown of trailers, tubes, PFDs, and canopies. 

  • Ensure the cleanliness and organization of all rental equipment and site areas. 

  • Assist with instructions and basic river navigation for guests.

 Manage Rentals & Transactions

  • Use the POS system to sell products and services accurately. 

  • Monitor daily cash handling and follow financial procedures. 

  • Coordinate reporting and equipment usage with partners (e.g., CET).

Be a Team Player

  • Communicate with management, staff, and business partners in a professional, upbeat manner. 

  • Support additional business areas as needed and help identify opportunities for improvement. 

  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for guests and team members. 

Secondary Function

  • Provide instruction to guests in the operation of paddleboards and river navigation. 

  • Cleans the shop area, refrigerators, and kitchen. 

  • Washes and hangs lifejackets as needed. 

  • Assist with vehicle clean-up.  

  • Repairs or replaces equipment damaged or lost due to gross negligence that was a specific attendant’s responsibility. 

  • Provide input on areas for improvement. 

  • At times may be asked to assist in business areas outside of the park operations.

Interpersonal Contacts

Applicant must be able to work in a group environment both within the department, the company as a whole, and business partners.  The Tube lead must have strong guest service and communication skills.

Specific Job Skills

  • Technical: Have strong POS knowledge to be able to train staff members in proper use. Understand and implement reporting mechanisms.  

  • Physical Capabilities: Can remain outside in all conditions for long periods of time.  Must be physically capable of assisting with the moving equipment throughout an entire shift. 

  • Additional: Maintains a professional attitude, supporting the vision of Mt. Bachelor/Sun Country Tours. 

Education/Related Experience

  • Minimum education required: High School or equivalent. 

  • Minimum time in related position:  Previous leadership or customer service experience preferred.
