Hypower, LLC is looking to hire a Ful-time Monday-Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 pm Pre-Construction Coordinator to support (VDC / BIM / Prefab Planning Support) for our Pembroke Park Office.

The Pre‑Construction Coordinator plays a key role in Hypower’s project planning lifecycle by supporting coordination efforts across Preconstruction, Operations, VDC/BIM, and Prefabrication teams. This position ensures planning activities, documentation, and handoff information are organized, communicated, and execution‑ready prior to and during project startup.

The role focuses on planning enablement and coordination, not estimating or model production, and is critical to successful Preconstruction Turnover to Operations, constructability planning, and early execution alignment.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning & Coordination

  • Support the project planning cycle from award through execution readiness by coordinating inputs from Preconstruction, Operations, VDC/BIM, and Prefab teams
  • Track planning milestones, required deliverables, and action items to ensure timely completion
  • Coordinate planning meetings, prepare agendas, document decisions, and follow up on open items
  • Serve as a communication bridge between planning stakeholders to maintain alignment and visibility

Preconstruction Turnover to Operations

  • Support standardized Preconstruction Turnover meetings to ensure Operations understands scope, assumptions, risks, and planning expectations
  • Capture meeting notes, action items, and planning decisions
  • Update Procore with turnover notes and ensure all required planning and estimating documents are properly filed and accessible
  • Assist in preparing clean, organized planning handoff packages for project teams

VDC / BIM Coordination Support

  • Support VDC/BIM coordination efforts by helping manage planning information flow, model availability, and coordination logistics
  • Assist with coordination readiness, including meeting scheduling, issue tracking, and distribution of coordination outputs
  • Help maintain standards for file organization, version control, and planning documentation related to BIM/VDC workflows

Prefabrication Planning Support

  • Coordinate with Prefab stakeholders to support early identification and planning of prefabrication opportunities
  • Assist in aligning BIM/VDC outputs with prefab needs, installation sequencing, and planning schedules
  • Help track prefab‑related planning constraints, lead times, and readiness items

Document Control & Planning Information Management

  • Maintain organized project records including planning logs, meeting minutes, assumptions, and turnover documentation
  • Support consistent document control practices to reduce rework and improve execution readiness
  • Assist with compiling “ready‑to‑build” planning and handoff documentation as required

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in construction coordination, preconstruction support, or project administration (GC or specialty contractor preferred)
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Teams)
  • Comfortable working within project management and document control systems
  • Exposure to BIM/VDC coordination concepts and construction planning workflows
  • Experience supporting prefabrication planning or model‑based coordination
  • Familiarity with Procore, Smartsheet, or similar project coordination platforms
  • Electrical construction or MEP project experience

Benefits:

  • National health and dental plans.
  • Paid vacations and holidays.
  • Life Insurance.
  • Short- and long-term disability plans.
  • 401(K) retirement plans.
  • Incentive and recognition programs.
  • National discount programs.
