What You'll Do:

The HR Business Partner (HRBP) serves as a strategic and solutions-oriented partner to business leaders, supporting the execution of organizational goals through effective people strategies. This role provides coaching, challenges constructively, and influences leadership actions to strengthen performance, enhance organizational capability, and enable efficient, high-quality decision-making. The HRBP collaborates closely with leaders to design talent plans, support organizational effectiveness, and ensure a consistent and engaging employee experience aligned with Crowley’s culture and business priorities.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Partnership & Leadership Support

·       Partner with business leaders as a trusted advisor to align people strategies with operational needs and business objectives.

·       Provide thoughtful challenge, insights, and recommendations to strengthen leadership effectiveness and drive accountability for results.

·       Coach leaders and employees on performance expectations, leadership behaviors, conflict resolution, and change readiness.

Organizational Effectiveness & Workforce Planning

·       Support organizational design efforts by helping leaders clarify roles, responsibilities, decision rights, and operating mechanisms.

·       Analyze workforce trends and define actions that improve execution, talent allocation, and organizational scalability.

·       Partner with leaders on restructuring, team alignment, and workforce planning to meet current and future capability needs.

Talent Management & Development

·       Guide leaders on talent assessment, succession planning, and development planning to build a strong bench for critical roles.

·       Support implementation of performance management processes, ensuring fairness, consistency, and rigor.

·       Identify skill gaps and partner with Talent Management on targeted development and learning strategies.

Employee Relations & Culture

·       Provide counsel on employee relations matters, helping leaders navigate issues with fairness, risk awareness, and alignment to company values.

·       Promote Crowley’s culture by reinforcing leadership expectations, driving engagement, and supporting inclusion and belonging efforts.

HR Program Execution

·       Ensure consistent execution of HR programs, policies, and practices in alignment with enterprise standards.

·       Partner with HR Centers of Excellence (Compensation, Talent Management, Talent Acquisition, etc.) to deliver integrated people solutions.

·       Use data and metrics to diagnose issues, measure outcomes, and inform decision-making.



Qualifications:

Education & Credentials:

·       Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

·       HR certification (PHR, SHRM CP) preferred.

Experience:

·       5 or more years of progressively responsible HR experience, preferably in roles supporting leaders within complex, operationally focused environments.

·       Experience advising and coaching leaders, resolving employee relations matters, and supporting organizational or talent initiatives is strongly preferred.

Technical Skills:

·       Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word).

·       Experience working with HRIS and talent management systems.

Other: Ability to travel as necessary.

Working Conditions:

·       Normal office environment with extended use of a computer.

·       Occasional travel may be required.
