Job Description

TITLE:  MAINTENANCE WORKER


 


QUALIFICATIONS:          



  1. High school diploma or GED

  2. Demonstrates aptitude for successful fulfillment of assigned                                        performance responsibilities.

  3. Must be capable of rigorous physical labor.



  1. (Able to lift a minimum of 35 lbs.)

  2. Demonstrate a cheerful attitude, good personal hygiene and ability                             to work with students, teachers, administrators, patrons and co-workers.

  3. Fulfill requirements for promptness and good attendance habits.

  4. Demonstrate good work habits and effective use of time.

  5. Posses ability to communicate effectively.

  6. Experienced in all areas of general construction, to include but not                               limited to concrete finishing, carpentry, equipment usage, floor tile, welding, etc.


 


 


REPORTS TO:                    Director of Operations


 


EVALUATED BY:                Director of Operations


 


TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:  232 day contract.
                                          Salary to be determined as per SECNP Master Contract.


 


JOB GOAL:                         To provide students, patrons and staff with a safe, attractive,                                              comfortable and clean facility which is conducive to a good learning/working atmosphere.           


 


PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:



  1. Maintains all tools in a safe working manner.

  2. Work will be performed at each facility in such a manner as to create as little disturbance as possible.

  3. Cooperate with supervisors in relations to working in inclement weather conditions and willingness to work weekends, holidays and after hours as needed.

  4. Installs signs, fence, playground equipment and other grounds type repairs and installations as required.

  5. Works with the lawn personnel to improve the curb appearance of district buildings.

  6. Works in all trade areas as needed to help on projects.

  7. Performs all other duties that are assigned by the Director of Operations.
