About the Opportunity

The Residential Life Coordinator provides strategic, policy, and operational advice to the Accommodation Manager on emerging trends in student living, contemporary student issues, and best practice in collegiate programs. The role is responsible for developing and delivering the Residential Life program to support students’ academic growth and enrichment, oversee student welfare and pastoral care, and enhance the overall wellbeing of college residents. The position requires flexibility, including working outside standard office hours when required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver engaging residential programs that support academic success, student leadership, wellbeing, and community connection
  • Lead the recruitment, training, and development of Student Leaders under the guidance of the Accommodation Manager.
  • Provide leadership to the Residential Life team through the coordination of social, cultural, and educational initiatives.
  • Uphold Community Standards, manage conduct matters, and respond effectively to residential incidents relating to wellbeing, mental health, and college culture.

About you

  • Completion of a relevant degree with substantial relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training
  • Be eligible for, or hold a blue card

What we can offer

This is full time, fixed term opportunity until January 2027 based at Brisbane South (Nathan). As Griffith is a multi-site University you may be required to work across other locations

This position requires flexibility, including working reasonable additional hours outside standard office hours for events and operational requirements. This will also include participation in an on‑call arrangement, where applicable.

Griffith University’s campuses are located on the lands of the Yugarabul, Yuggera, Jagera, Turrbal, Yugambeh and Kombumerri peoples

Salary Range

HEW 7 salary range $104,504 - $113,219 per annum + 17% superannuation. Total package range $122,270 - $132,466.
