We are seeking a compassionate and energetic Life Enrichment Assistant to join our team at New Glarus Home. This role focuses on enhancing the quality of life for residents by planning, organizing, and leading meaningful recreational, social, and therapeutic activities tailored to individual interests and abilities.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in planning and implementing daily activity programs for residents
Lead group and one-on-one activities (e.g., arts and crafts, games, music, exercise)
Encourage resident participation and social engagement
Adapt activities to meet physical, cognitive, and emotional needs
Transport residents to and from activities as needed
Document participation and maintain activity records in compliance with regulations
Support special events, holiday celebrations, and community outings
Collaborate with nursing staff and interdisciplinary team members
Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming activity environment
Experience in recreational activities, healthcare, or senior services preferred
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work with elderly residents, including those with dementia or physical limitations
Creative, patient, and dependable
Basic computer skills for documentation
