    Kent School District provides paid training for eligible bus driver candidates hired as Bus Driver Trainees. Bus Driver Trainees are hired as a temporary employee while completing the 4-week training to obtain CDL Class B, passenger endorsement, airbrakes, and school bus endorsement. The temporary employee rate is $16.66 per hour, with a training maximum of 200 hours. Upon completion of training, the trainee may be offered a continuing position as a regular or substitute bus driver.
