Description
Position is responsible for tracking, delivering reconciling inventory of all parts and supplies for the Asphalt Plants. Performs routine cycle counts at various plant locations and parts room; reports discrepancies to Plant Inventory Control Specialist.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, count, and inspect purchased items to ensure accurate quantities and quality of delivered products.
- Receive and deliver packing slips/receipts to appropriate personnel for received parts.
- Pick-up and deliver parts and company materials to designated plant locations in a timely manner.
- Perform routine cycle counts of parts room and plant locations to ensure proper documentation, identify re-supply needs, and validate appropriate inventory/parts are maintained.
- Perform shipping functions in accordance with company and regulatory shipping standards.
- Coordinate and communicate with Plant Mechanics and Plant Foremen to identify needs. Read and interpret parts catalogs to order correct inventory items.
- Maintain a clean and orderly stock room in accordance with company guidelines. Operate forklift and pallet jack to move/organize inventory within stock room.
- Data entry.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
- Required: Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively disseminate information
- Must be able to work effectively and communicate (written and verbally) with others.
- Ability to successfully prioritize routine daily job duties and tasks with minimal supervision.
- Detail-orientated, excellent organizational skills.
- Proficient computer skills including MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel & Word) preferred.
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and overtime as necessary.
- Ability to read, write and speak English.

- Office, vehicle and field environment; travel from site to site; exposure to noise, dust, fumes, vibrations; temperature variations and inclement weather conditions; work around heavy construction equipment. Work on uneven or wet surfaces.
- Tools and equipment regularly used; computer, fax machine, office supplies, copiers, telephone, calculator, and a variety of shop and hand tools, etc.
