1. Employment to begin as of: August 3, 2026
2. Position Title: High School Science Teacher
3. Grade Level: 9-12
4. Teaching Certificate Required: Biology or Chemistry
5. Previous Teaching Experience Required: None
6. General Description of Position Duties: Science Teacher for high school science courses.
7. Special Skills, Training or Aptitudes Required or Desire: The applicant should have the
desire, passion, and work ethic to be a part of a team. The candidate should have the ability to
work with high school students, parents, and community members. Preferred experience with
instructing in a 21st century environment through the integration of instructional technology a
classroom learning platform (Canvas), and students with a 1:1 take home device (iPad) is
desired.
8. Physical and Mental Efforts:
• This position requires a high level of physical and mental endurance
• Sitting in an office/classroom environment, performing tasks on a computer or other
technical devices.
• Frequent standing, particularly for sustained periods of time
• Frequent walking, moving about on foot to accomplish
tasks, particularly for long distances or moving from one part of the building to another.
• Constantly talking, expressing, or exchanging ideas to colleagues and/or students
accurately, loudly, or quickly
• Ability to hear and listen to detailed information through oral communication.
• Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision and distance vision.
• Ability to handle and balance multiple demands at the same time.
