Job Description

The HVAC/Maintenance Worker is responsible for maintaining HVAC equipment, repairs, and utility systems across the campus as well as off sites. Work is not limited to HVAC equipment and will include all maintenance needs that arise on the Campus. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Perform or assist with work on HVAC systems, domestic water systems, refrigeration systems, electrical systems and generators.                                                                                                                                                             
  1. In addition to HVAC repairs and preventative maintenance, performs general maintenance duties, such as: room repairs, plumbing, electrical, equipment repairs, painting, and refurbishing.
  1.  Maintains all tools, equipment, and supplies in proper condition.
  1. Maintains facility during season changes, including snow and ice removal.
  1. Answers emergency calls when assigned to the on-call phone.
  1. Conducts routine inspections on assigned vehicles, equipment, and emergency systems to comply with all regulations.
  1. Moves furniture, such as beds, dressers, etc. from one area to another if needed.
  1. Commits to high ethical standards and complies with the Code of Conduct, state and federal regulations, accreditation standards and facility policies and procedures.  Maintains confidentiality of resident and employee records and information.  Has a duty to report compliance concerns, significant legal risk questions, fraud, abuse, suspected or actual misconduct to a supervisor/manager or to the Corporate Compliance Officer.
