Southern Jersey Family Medical Centers is seeking a Operations Director to oversee all practice locations within Salem, Atlantic and Burlington counties. The successful candidate will work closely with senior management, physicians, nursing staff, support staff and colleagues to direct, lead and oversee the day to day and long term operations of the health center.
Hours: This is a full-time position with general daytime hours Monday - Friday, up to one evening per week.
Pay Range: Commensurate with experience
Position Responsibilities/Duties:
* Assist the Chief Operating Officer in implementing policies and procedures to ensure high-quality, efficient and cost-effective patient care in accordance with strategic plans
* Assist the Chief Operating Officer in the attainment of short- and long-term financial and operational goals to include developing time frames and meeting deadlines
* Responsible for supervision and performance management of all center's Practice Managers and other Direct reports
* Monitor productivity, ensure that the obligation to serve internal and external customers/patients is carried out
* Monitor Operations by performing routine reviews and correcting any shortfalls immediately
* Prepare facility for smooth, efficient, daily operation; complete ambulatory check list weekly
* Monitor and ensure that staffing levels are in line with the budget and utilized adequately
* Monitor and ensure that all expenses are within budget guidelines
* Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures, and ensure the center operates in accordance with contractual obligations
* Prepare all mandatory reports accurately and in a timely manner
* Represent the facility and participate in meetings, outreach programs and community involvement activities
* Responsible for regulatory compliance, including, but limited, NJDOMSS-Ambulatory licensing, CLIA/lab, DEPE, federal requirements, HIPAA, FQHC Uncomp, MA/MED, etc
* Other duties as assigned
Position Requirements:
* Master's degree (preferably in Healthcare Administration, Public Health or related field)
* At Least 5 years relevant experience in health care management and supervision
* Ability to travel to all site locations within Atlantic, Burlington and Salem Counties
* Experience in an multi-facility ambulatory care setting is highly desired
* Ability to handle and prioritize multiple projects
* Knowledge of medical billing
* Supervisory experience and excellent customer service skills
* Must have outstanding leadership qualities
