About the Role 

 

We are looking for an experienced, AI-forward Head of Business Systems to lead the strategy, roadmap, and day-to-day operations of POS360’s internal technology ecosystem. This role will serve as the primary owner for the platforms that power our business; including Salesforce, NetSuite, Celigo, Slack, BambooHR, and our BI platform; ensuring they operate reliably, integrate effectively, and scale with company growth. 

 

Reporting to the Sr. Director of Business Planning & Operations, this role is accountable for delivering against the business systems roadmap and advising on system-related tradeoffs, while partnering closely with senior leaders on prioritization and execution.

Key Responsibilities 

Systems Strategy & Roadmap 

  • Own and execute the business systems roadmap, ensuring technology initiatives are aligned with company OKRs and near- to mid-term growth priorities. 
  • Evaluate, recommend, and implement new platforms and integrations as the business scales, building a best-in-class internal technology stack. 
  • Develop and maintain a systems architecture vision that eliminates silos, reduces manual work, and enables data-driven decision-making across the organization. 

Stakeholder Partnership & Prioritization 

  • Serve as the primary business systems partner to senior stakeholders across Sales, Marketing, Finance, Customer Experience, and Peopletranslating business needs into clear requirements and actionable delivery plans. 
  • Build and manage a transparent intake and prioritization process for systems requests, balancing competing demands with business impact and resource constraints. 
  • Communicate roadmap status, trade-offs, and timelines proactively to executive stakeholders. 

Platform Operations & Optimization 

  • Oversee the administration, configuration, and continuous improvement of Salesforce, NetSuite, Celigo, Slack, BambooHR, the BI platform, and other business-critical systems. 
  • Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance across all platforms, establishing governance policies and best practices. 
  • Drive integration strategy across the tech stack, leveraging Celigo and other middleware to create seamless data flows between systems. 

AI & Automation 

  • Identify and implement practical AI and intelligent automation solutions to improve efficiency across core business processes, including Quote-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, and Hire-to-Retire workflows 
  • Identify high-impact automation opportunities across the Quote-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, and Hire-to-Retire workflows. 
  • Stay current on emerging technologies and proactively bring forward recommendations for AI-powered enhancements to internal systems. 

Vendor & Program Management 

  • Manage relationships with software vendors, system integrators, and implementation partners—negotiating contracts, holding partners accountable to deliverables, and ensuring POS360 gets maximum value from external engagements. 
  • Provide risk assessments and mitigation strategies for major system changes, migrations, and new implementations, ensuring business continuity throughout. 
  • Oversee system lifecycle management, including upgrades, decommissioning, and capacity planning. 

Team Leadership 

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a small team of system administrators and developers, operating as a hands-on player-coach when needed to ensure timely and high-quality delivery. 
  • Establish clear goals, performance standards, and professional development plans for team members. 
  • Foster a culture of ownership, continuous learning, and operational excellence. 

 

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred. 
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in business systems, enterprise applications, or IT operations, including experience leading complex system initiatives and mentoring team members or project contributors. 
  • Proven track record at high-growth technology or SaaS companies (Series B+ or $50M+ revenue) managing complex, multi-platform environments. 
  • Deep hands-on expertise with Salesforce (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, CPQ, or Revenue Cloud) and NetSuite (ERP, financials, procurement). 
  • Strong experience with integration platforms such as Celigo, MuleSoft, or Workato, and a solid understanding of API-based architecture. 
  • Experience managing or partnering closely with BI/analytics platforms (e.g., Looker, Tableau, Power BI, Sigma, or similar). 
  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing stakeholder priorities with diplomacy, data, and a clear decision-making framework. 
  • Hands-on experience implementing AI and automation solutions within business systems workflows. 
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences. 
  • Self-starter with a builder mentality, low ego, and a bias for action. 

 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Salesforce certifications (e.g., Certified Administrator, Platform App Builder, or Architect). 
  • NetSuite certifications (e.g., Suite Foundation, ERP Consultant, or Administrator). 
  • Experience with BambooHR, Slack enterprise administration, or similar collaboration and HR platforms. 
  • Familiarity with FinTech, payments, or POS industry dynamics. 
  • Experience leading system migrations, large-scale implementations, or M&A technology integrations. 
  • PMP, TOGAF, or other enterprise architecture / project management certifications. 
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and their role in enterprise system architecture.

Position is full-time from our Westlake Village, CA office. 

Compensation:  $140,000 - $170,000
