Job Title:                     Program Coordinator CMI & Connect Centers
Department:              Workforce Development (WFD)
Reports to:                 CMI & Connect Centers Manager
FLSA Status:              Exempt

Position Summary:
Supports operating procedures, protocols, controls of functional activities, and services delivered throughout the GWH Community, CMI five-sector strategy, and GWH Connect Centers. Supervises the support staff for CMI and the Connect Centers, prepares necessary reports, and coordinates with management to support GWH mandates.
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for assuring that WFD is in compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards.
  • Works with management to ensure the maximum assistance is given to individuals and families in the eight (8) counties that support GWH’s infrastructure (Austin, Brazoria, Ft. Bend, Galveston, Harris, Montgomery, Walker, and Washington).
  • Works closely with Workforce Development (WFD) to create a positive, effective, and consistent culture focused on training, education, employment, and wrap-around services.
  • Ensures that all case management activities are being tracked in multiple databases to maintain GWH and funder guidelines.
  • Responsible for the day-to-day activities, coordinating with management, that results in optimal outcomes for persons served, employment placements, training, and mission integration, while meeting and maximizing revenue opportunities.
  • Manages team member performance by providing guidance and support, identifying development needs, and establishing relationships between GWH team members and GWH partners to ensure success.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with existing partnerships with faith-based and community-based organizations, school districts, businesses, Government agencies, and other sectors that provide work training opportunities, including GWH.
  • Coordinates with the Business Services Liaison to engage different employers across in-demand industries for experience and placement opportunities for program participants.
  • Recommends appropriate success strategies to workforce members, including support of the caseload.
  • Assist with intake, testing, and program assessments for new participants when needed.
  • Ensures budget(s), fiscal compliance, and program administration are being managed appropriately with the assistance of management and the Accounting and Finance Department.
  • Conducts routine reconciliations of the supportive services for GWH.
  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date data entry for billing and auditing purposes.
  • Responsible for timely required reporting and documentation for state and local regulatory compliance.
  • Oversees and ensures that real-time data entry, electronic and hard copy confidential files, and input necessary information into CaseWorthy (data management system), including progress reports, case notes, and completion and retention documentation are being maintained.
  • Supports and coordinates with leadership in planning and executing monthly events (job fairs, graduations, CMI pop-ups, etc.).
  • Regularly evaluates and recommends support service referrals for training, education, curricula, and materials for work readiness programs that reflect the needs of the business community and job opportunities for CMI and Connect Centers.
  • Maintains adequate materials, supplies, and equipment for work readiness and job placement activities.
  • Travel to multiple locations as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned by Management.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree is required.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of workforce development, career services and/or human services experience.
  • Excellent computer skills (proficient in Microsoft Office).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Understands individual Employment Plans, case management, and career service activities.
  • Ability to supervise multiple programs and the team members working under those programs.
  • Ability to communicate and interact well with a variety of personality types.
  • Ability to analyze opportunities and problems, identify and evaluate alternatives and develop effective approaches to address any issues.
  • Ability to plan, implement and evaluate the achievement goals, objectives, and work plans.
  • Must have reliable transportation. 
 
Key Performance Indicators:
  1. Meet or exceed all portfolio programs’ outputs, outcomes, and goals for the (calendar/fiscal) year.
  2. Ensure data utilization and accuracy of 90% or higher by conducting regular audits of CaseWorthy reporting.
  3. Ensure onsite pop ups partners report monthly on engagements with shoppers, donors, and team members at Goodwill Houston retail locations.
  4. Ensure all data reports, funding applications, and administrative documents are reviewed prior to submission for Senior Director’s approval.
  5. Execute WFD projects as assigned.
