This position is 100% onsite at our Bohemia, NY office.

This position requires a U.S Person or a person who can qualify for a Department of State or Department of Commerce License.

Position Summary:

The Finance Intern position performs a range of duties related to the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions. Accounts Receivable duties would include cash application, collections, processing credit applications, and month-end reconciliations. Accounts Payable duties would include coding invoices accurately/timely, processing payment runs, performing prepaid analysis, commissions analysis, and month-end reconciliations.

Key Position Accountabilities:

• Ensure that relationships with external customers & vendors are well maintained in order to resolve issues
• Works closely with other internal departments to resolve any payable related discrepancies that would cause delayed vendor payments.
• General Accounting duties as assigned including but not limited to; general ledger account analysis and journal entry posting.
• Proficiency with basic excel formulas like vlookups and use of pivot tables.

Qualifications:

• BS Degree in Accounting preferred

• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Ability to maintain effective interpersonal relationships
• Strong bias for action
• Detail oriented and accurate
