What
You’ll Do

As an Experienced Audit Accountant, you’ll play a key role on audit engagements for commercial
clients and employee benefit plans. 

Your
responsibilities will include:

  • Conducts financial statement audits, reviews, compilations, organizes work papers, maintains open items list, and conducts self-review of work before submission to reviewers. 
  • Prepares financial statements with supplementary reports and required disclosures in accordance with U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
  • Assist in the performance of benefit plan audits required under the Employee Retirement Income Security Act, including benefit plans of publicly traded companies. 
  • Responsible for interviewing client staff as needed to gather relevant information to complete assignments. 
  • Communicates information, suggestions and/or problem issues regarding audit status and critical findings throughout the assignments to the Manager. 
  • Evaluates all technical steps to complete and review work papers with the Supervisor or Manager. 
  • Starts to assist Seniors with engagement management (planning, engagement file wrap-up, communications, and staff development). 
  • Reviews and evaluates the internal controls and ensures the proper audit program has been prepared. 
  • Supports the Manager/Partner through maintaining a good working relationship with client personnel and other team members and demonstrating an awareness of the client's business. 
  • May assist the Senior/Supervisor as the reviewer on some audit engagements, which includes conducting a review of work papers prior to managerial review, to ensure that staff properly carry out the procedures assigned to them; that programs and conclusions are properly completed; and that the documentation of the audit or review work conforms to Firm standards. 



What You
Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (CPA‑eligible
    required)

  • 1+ years of audit experience working within public accounting
  • Experience with
    commercial-sector audits (real estate, manufacturing, business services,
    etc.) preferred

  • Strong communication,
    organization, and documentation skills

  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and
    able to work productively in a professional environment

  • CPA or advanced degree
    (MBA/Master’s) preferred

  • Proficiency with
    spreadsheet/database tools; experience with financial software a plus



Compensation

Base
salary range: $65,000-$70,000 annually

This range
reflects base pay only. Total compensation also includes eligibility for spot
bonuses and additional incentives. Actual pay is based on experience, skills,
education, and related factors.
