Job Description

 

Career Success Schools (CSS) is seeking a passionate and skilled ELD Teacher to enhance our educational program and make a significant impact on students' lives. With four vibrant campuses, CSS is committed to providing exceptional learning experiences that foster both academic and personal growth. This role works collaboratively with educators, administrators, and staff to support English Learners through high-quality instruction, coaching, and program development.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct instruction to grades 9–12 ELD students using ELP standards and best practices.
  • Deliver explicit academic language development, vocabulary instruction, and sheltered instruction techniques.
  • Support and coach teachers to enhance instructional strategies for English Learners.
  • Promote cultural awareness and inclusive instructional practices across content areas.
  • Manage compliance with local, state, and federal ELD program requirements.
  • Travel between campuses as needed to support instruction and program implementation.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card
  • Valid Arizona Teaching Certificate with SEI Endorsement
  • 3–5 years of successful experience working with English Language Learners
  • Demonstrated success using student achievement data to inform instruction
  • Experience working with at-risk student populations
  • Strong collaboration, communication, and leadership skills
  • Ability to travel between multiple sites

  • Bilingual abilities
  • Experience integrating technology into instruction
  • Experience coaching and mentoring educators

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Strong understanding of research-based instructional strategies for ELLs
  • Ability to analyze and apply AZELLA and student achievement data
  • Skilled in differentiated instruction and assessment design
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to model and coach effective instructional practices
  • Proficiency in integrating technology into instruction
  • Self-motivated with strong initiative and organizational skills

Performance Responsibilities

Teachers/Staff Support:

  • Deliver differentiated instruction and interventions for EL students
  • Provide professional development and training on ELL strategies and compliance
  • Coach and support teachers through modeling, co-teaching, and feedback
  • Guide staff in data analysis and data-driven instructional planning
  • Facilitate collaborative and reflective teaching practices

Student Instruction:

  • Deliver high-quality instruction tailored to diverse learning needs
  • Develop lesson plans and instructional materials aligned to ELP standards
  • Provide small group and individualized instruction
  • Monitor and document student progress, including AZELLA data
  • Support academic and social-emotional growth of students
  • Maintain accurate student records and compliance documentation

Program Operations:

  • Support development and implementation of ELD programs
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal requirements
  • Analyze and communicate student data to stakeholders
  • Collaborate with school leadership to improve student outcomes

General Duties:

  • Lead and support ELD program functions including curriculum, instruction, and assessment
  • Communicate effectively with students, families, and staff
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
