Job Description

Due to continued growth within our new division, Northern Star Surface Mining (NSSM) is seeking an experienced HSEQ Advisor operating on a 8/6 Roster FIFO basis from Perth. This role offers long-term stability and a genuinely fulfilling career opportunity.


 


Here’s what awaits you:



  • Partnering with site-based WHS teams and operational leaders to drive safety outcomes
    • Supporting and continuously improving the Safety Management System (SMS)
    • Conducting audits, inspections and risk assessments
    • Assisting with serious incident investigations and monitoring corrective actions
    • Ensuring statutory reporting is completed within required timeframes
    • Coordinating corporate drug and alcohol testing programs
    • Supporting inductions for corporate and site-based employees
    • Promoting a strong safety culture and continuous improvement mindset
    • Ensuring environmental compliance and responsible site practices


 


To thrive in this role, you’ll need:



  • • Experience in similar role WHS/HSEQ FIFO  
    • Current WA C Class Driver’s Licence
    • Strong knowledge of mining and minerals processing operations

  • • Tertiary qualification in Workplace Health & Safety (or related discipline)
    • Lead Auditor qualification (Desirable not essential)
    • Strong understanding of risk management processes (ICAM preferred)
