Job Description

The Corporate Director of Revenue Management is responsible for overseeing and optimizing revenue strategies across multiple properties within a designated area. This role involves analyzing market trends, adjusting pricing strategies, and collaborating with property teams to ensure maximum profitability. The Area Director will play a critical role in driving RevPAR growth, managing room inventory, and leading revenue management initiatives to meet or exceed financial goals.

Description

  1. Revenue Growth & Strategy:
  2. Develop and implement strategies to grow RevPAR and RevPAR Index across multiple properties.
  3. Monitor and adjust room inventory management and pricing strategies based on market conditions, competitor actions, and demand forecasts.
  4. Review unconstrained demand and recommend the optimal business mix for each property.
  5. Lead weekly strategy meetings, analyzing prior decisions and adjusting strategies as necessary.
  6. Market Analysis & Forecasting:
  7. Conduct thorough analysis of local events and their potential impact on hotel performance.
  8. Prepare and present weekly and monthly forecasts, highlighting key trends and areas of opportunity.
  9. Review STR reports and analyze hotel performance relative to competitive sets, providing actionable insights to property teams.
  10. Collaboration & Communication:
  11. Collaborate with property General Managers and Sales Leaders to ensure alignment of revenue management strategies with overall business goals.
  12. Develop and maintain relationships with Online Travel Agencies (OTAs) and Third-Party Intermediaries (TPIs) to maximize revenue opportunities through these channels.
  13. Assist in developing the revenue management skills of hotel managers through training and mentorship.
  14. System Utilization & Reporting:
  15. Utilize systems such as GRO, One Yield, MRDW, HPP, CI/TY, and others to drive data-informed decision-making.
  16. Ensure accurate content and pricing across all distribution channels, including OTAs and GDS platforms.
  17. Assist with internet marketing campaigns and GDS advertising to enhance visibility and drive bookings.
  18. Budgeting & Planning:
  19. Contribute to the preparation of annual rooms revenue budgets and business plans for each property.
  20. Analyze and recommend strategies based on historical data, market trends, and future demand projections.
  21. Conduct displacement analysis for group and contract business to optimize revenue across all segments.
  22. Operational Excellence:
  23. Ensure coding and tracking of revenue management activities are performed correctly at each property.
  24. Monitor online reviews and adjust strategies to maintain a competitive edge in the market.
  25. Perform various other duties as assigned to meet business objectives across the area.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of revenue management experience, preferably with multiple properties.
  • Skills:
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Highly proficient in using revenue management systems and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills.
  • Work Requirements:
  • Flexibility to travel between properties as needed.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays when necessary.
