    ISD 423 - Hutchinson Middle School is seeking Summer School Instructors for students entering grades 6-8 for the Summer of 2026.  

    We are looking for licensed educators in 6-8 Math and Language Arts. 

    Effective Date:

    • Monday � Thursday

      • June 15-18, June 22-25, July 6-9, July 13-16.

    Hours:

    • Student contact hours per day (9:30 am - 11:15 am)

    Salary/Benefits:

    • Targeted Services pay shall be pro-rated up to a maximum rate of thirty dollars ($30.00) per hour.

    • Benefits include Sick Leave and Retirement Plan with employer contribution.   

    Required Licensure:

    • Current MN MS Teaching Licenses needed in the following areas for grades 6-8:

      • Math

      • Reading/Language Arts

    Preferred Experience: 

    • Middle School classroom experience and previous ALC/Targeted Services or Summer School experience

    • A commitment to student success

    • Understanding of working with at risk and/or struggling learners

    • Ability to form relationships with students and families in a short period of time               

    Major Responsibilities: 

    Targeted Services is part of a system of support to ensure all students are successful on their pathway to graduation. Targeted Services provides learning opportunities that actively engage the learner while extending each student's learning, utilizing an approach to engage students with the teacher, school and community. The purpose is to develop the skills needed to be successful in the regular school program. Roles include creating an engaging and supportive environment and facilitating learning to support students in building their skills and confidence. Teachers will be supported by summer educational assistants.
