Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced ISO 9001 Lead Auditor to join our team as an Independent Contractor. In this role, you will be responsible for planning, conducting, and reporting on audits of clients’ Quality Management Systems (QMS) in accordance with ISO 9001:2015 standards. This position requires a strong understanding of quality principles, risk-based thinking, and continual improvement methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and report ISO 9001 audits in accordance with ISO 19011 guidelines
  

• Assess the adequacy and effectiveness of client QMS
  

• Prepare audit reports and present findings to clients and stakeholders
  

• Provide objective evidence and nonconformity reporting where applicable
  

• Assist clients in understanding audit outcomes and opportunities for improvement
  

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of ISO standards and best practices
  

• Ensure impartiality, integrity, and professionalism throughout all audit activities
  

• Support the development and training of internal teams as needed
  

Requirements

Qualifications

• Certified ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor (IRCA, Exemplar Global, or equivalent)
  

• Minimum 3 years of auditing experience in a lead role
  

• Strong knowledge of QMS principles, ISO 19011, and continual improvement tools
  

• Excellent communication, analytical, and report-writing skills
  

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple audit assignments
  

• Experience across various industries is a plus
  

• Willingness to travel domestically/internationally as required
  

Preferred Skills

• Additional auditor certifications (e.g., ISO 14001, ISO 45001)
  

• Experience with remote auditing tools and techniques
  

• Familiarity with management system software platforms
  

• Nuclear Experience is a plus!
