Fall Creek is creating a world with better blueberries through its friendly, collaborative team spread across the globe. To help us accomplish this, we are seeking a qualified Maintenance and Facilities Lead This position will be located in Larache, Morocco. 

 

JOB SUMMARY

The maintenance and Facilities Lead is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising all maintenance activities to ensure the optimal performance, reliability, and availability of Nursery equipment, facilities, and infrastructure. The role ensures efficient maintenance operations while maintaining high standards of safety, environmental compliance, and cost control. In addition to Annual Maintenance budget preparation Opex and Capex.

ORGANIZATIONAL FIT:

This position reports directly to the Morocco Operations Manager and supervises team leaders and employees in the maintenance department. This position collaborates with the procurement admin in coordinating services with external and other suppliers.

 

JOB SETTINGS:

Office and nursery environment.

 

 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and implement maintenance strategies (preventive, corrective, and predictive) for Nursery equipments and facilities
  • Plan, Coordinate, and supervise maintenance activities to ensure minimal downtime and continuous operations
  • Ensure the reliability and availability of Nursery machinery, Irrigation systems, greenhouses, and other production equipment
  • Manage maintenance of infrastructure and utilities, including water systems, pumps, electrical installations, and buildings
  • Lead and supervise the maintenance team, ensuring proper training and performance
  • Prepare and monitor the maintenance budget while optimizing operational costs
  • Implement safety procedures and ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations
  • Develop action plans to reduce operational and industrial risks
  • Manage spare parts inventory and ensure availability of critical components
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment efficiency and maintenance processes (5S, TPM)
  • Coordinate with production and farm management teams to align maintenance schedules with operational needs

 

  • Manage relationships with external service providers.
  • Prepares an annual list of CAPEX and projects, as well as monitoring and control of their execution, both for other departments and for their own.

 

  • Prepares OPEX budgets annually as well as their monitoring and control.

 

  • Supports, perpetuates and enhances Fall Creek's core values and corporate culture.

 

NECESSARY EDUCATION AND KNOWLEDGE

  • Degree in Electromechanics or Industrial Maintenance
  • Knowledge of Electricity, mechanics, Hydraulics and pneumatics
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in maintenance, preferably in Agriculture, Agroindustry or industrial operations
  • Strong Knowledge of Agricultural machinery, irrigation systems, pumps, and greenhouse infrastructure
  • Experience in Preventive maintenance planning and team management
  • Good understanding of Safety standards and environmental regulations
  • Previous experience working with an ERP system, preferably SAP
  • Familiar with Outlook, Word, Excel and AutoCAD
  • Must Speaks Spanish or English
