Position Summary
The Inventory Controller is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records and supporting daily warehouse operations. This role plays a critical part in ensuring inventory integrity through cycle counts, reconciliation, and system accuracy, while supporting month-end close processes. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and experienced in warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily cycle counts and physical inventory audits to ensure inventory accuracy
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, including root cause analysis and corrective actions
- Maintain accurate inventory records within the WMS and ensure timely updates
- Support month-end (EOM) close activities, including reconciliations and reporting
- Assist with SKU creation, setup, and ongoing maintenance (attributes, locations, bin assignments, etc.)
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with operations to prevent stockouts or overstock situations
- Ensure proper product labeling, storage, and location management within the warehouse
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment as needed to support inventory processes
- Collaborate with receiving, shipping, and operations teams to ensure accurate inbound/outbound transactions
- Maintain compliance with company policies, safety standards, and inventory control procedures
- Generate and analyze inventory reports to identify trends and improvement opportunities
- Support process improvements to enhance inventory accuracy and operational efficiency
