Primary Purpose:
Administer and operate the district's computer networks.
Develop, maintain, and monitor all District Local area networks (LAN) and wide area networks (WAN).
Responsible for installation, testing, and oversight of all network hardware, personal computers, servers, software, and related equipment.
Responsible for ensuring proper network security and compliance with all Federal, State and Local Laws.
Responsible for the maintenance and operation of district telephony, PA Broadcast, and video surveillance systems
Qualification Guidelines:
Education/Certifications:
High School Diploma or GED
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in network administration (preferred)
Knowledge of voice over IP telephony systems required
Cisco CCNA or CCNP certification preferred Microsoft MCSA or MCSE certification (preferred)
Experience:
Two years' experience performing network maintenance (preferred)
Two years' experience maintaining video surveillance system (preferred)
Two years' experience in telephone installation and maintenance (preferred)
Two years' experience in voice over IP telephony installation and maintenance (preferred)
