Job Description

Job Purpose:

The Senior Sales & Field Marketing Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth by tightly aligning field marketing programs with sales strategy. This role owns the connection between market activation, sales enablement, and pipeline performance, ensuring that marketing efforts--both in the field and in sales support--result in measurable business outcomes. This role will partner with sales to create tailored, localized marketing plans that generate pipeline opportunities and accelerate deals.

This is a senior, highly integrated role designed to serve as the primary Marketing partner to Sales leadership while also owning the strategy, execution, and optimization of field marketing programs across assigned markets or channels.

 

Essential Functions:

Sales Strategy Alignment 

  • Serve as the primary Marketing partner to Sales leadership across assigned channels or markets
  • Translate Sales goals into coordinated field marketing strategies
  • Ensure marketing programs directly support sales priorities, pipeline health, and conversion objectives
  • Influence annual and quarterly planning to embed sales needs into marketing roadmaps

Field Marketing Strategy & Market Activation

  • Own field marketing strategy & execution for assigned markets, including:
    • Events, sponsorships, and brand activation
    • Channel-specific marketing campaigns including media, direct marketing, digital and social
    • Hyper‑local activations aligned to priority segments and geographies
    • Market‑specific sales support initiatives
  • Ensure local execution aligns with broader sales and acquisition strategies
  • Oversee market calendars, budgets, and prioritization of field investments
  • Maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure execution excellence

 

Sales Enablement & Go‑to‑Market Execution

  • Lead the development of sales enablement tools and materials, including:
    • Sales presentations, pitch decks, collateral & fliers
    • Case studies, testimonials, and proof‑point content
    • Retail marketing support
    • Channel-specific marketing and lead generation campaigns
  • Partner with Product Marketing to translate product strategy into sales‑ready messaging
  • Support go‑to‑market launches with coordinated field activation and sales enablement plans
  • Ensure sales teams are equipped with consistent, effective tools to support prospecting, conversion, and close

Execution & Operational Excellence

  • Oversee end‑to‑end execution of field programs and events, including logistics, staffing, materials, and onsite support
  • Ensure compliance with brand, legal, and operational requirements across all activations
  • Act as escalation point for execution issues, ensuring rapid resolution

 

Leadership & Cross‑Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate closely with Sales, Operations, Marketing, Analytics, Product Marketing, and Community Engagement
  • Communicate clearly with senior stakeholders on priorities, progress, risks, and results

 

Education:

  • Four years of College resulting in a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

 

Relevant Work Experience:

  • 8 to 10 years in related field
  • Progressive experience in sales marketing, field marketing, acquisition marketing, or revenue marketing
  • Proven experience directly supporting Sales teams and owning market‑level execution
  • Demonstrated success tying marketing activity to revenue and pipeline performance
  • Excellent organizational, project management, and prioritization capabilities
  • Comfortable operating in both hands‑on execution and senior‑level strategic contexts
  • Experience managing budgets, agencies, vendors, or staff preferred

 

Special Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Experience providing channelized sales enablement and funnel acceleration
  • Strong field marketing and event activation experience with a performance mindset
  • Deep content marketing experience, including planning, storyboarding, copywriting and design direction
  • Ability to translate strategy into both sales tools and on‑the‑ground execution
  • Excellent cross‑functional influence and executive communication skills
  • Comfortable operating at both strategic and hands‑on execution levels
  • Highly organized, proactive, and adaptable in fast‑moving environments

 

Supervisory Responsibility:

  • Has 2 or More Full Time Direct Reports
