Job Description

The Role: The Harvest Sanitation Technician is responsible for washing and maintaining harvest equipment to support safe, compliant, and efficient field operations. This position requires seasonal relocation between growing regions, consistent attendance, and the ability to work afternoons, evenings, and at least six days per week. The role supports the Sanitation and Transportation teams by ensuring equipment is properly cleaned, sanitized, and ready for daily harvest activities while maintaining professional communication and positive working relationships. 

 

Location(s): Salinas, CA; Tres Picos, CA; Imperial, CA; Yuma, AZ

 

Areas of Responsibility:

  • Wash and sanitize harvest equipment according to company standards and food safety requirements.
  • Bring all required PPE and tools each day (hard hat, gloves, overshoes, coveralls). These items are provided by the Company, but maintaining and bringing them daily is the employee's responsibility.
  • Relocate between Tres Picos, Salinas, Imperial, California, and Yuma, Arizona based on the harvest schedule and seasonal production needs.
  • Work afternoons, evenings, and a minimum sixday workweek during peak season.
  • Maintain professional, respectful communication with team members and supervisors.
  • Support a positive team environment and represent the Company professionally.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

  • Able to perform physical labor, including bending, lifting, standing, and walking on uneven or muddy ground for extended periods.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in hot, cold, wet, or changing weather conditions.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work evenings, long hours, and a sixday workweek during peak season.
  • Willing and able to relocate with the harvest schedule and adapt to changing work sites.
  • Able to follow sanitation procedures, safety rules, and instructions from supervisors.
  • Works well with others, communicates respectfully, and maintains a positive attitude.
  • Brings strong attention to detail and takes responsibility for completing tasks thoroughly.
