This Associate Editor role requires a technically proficient and artistically skilled visual storyteller with collaboration and communication skills. The role requires a knowledge of video editing and motion graphics software and a desire to innovate and bring emerging techniques to projects. The ideal Editor/Animator will bring enthusiasm, creativity, and craftsmanship to the video elements of our client work, pitches, and internal projects.
Roles + Responsibilities:
- Act as editing and animation resource on client video work
- Act as assistant editor and animator on internal initiatives like case studies and pitch videos
- Take direction from and collaborate with creative teams
- Organize and manage project files, assets, and media across editorial workflows
- Prep and build out Premiere and After Effects project files for production
- Translate scripts and briefs into edited pieces of video that clearly communicate the required messaging
- Participate in ideation of content for internal projects and client campaigns, leveraging understanding of visual storytelling, editing techniques, and motion graphic design
- Brainstorm with insight and empathy to help solve problems in awesome and compelling ways
- Work directly with Production counterparts to set and meet deadlines
- Keep the agency informed of trends in video post-production techniques, workflow and software innovations
- Help to grow the Studio’s technical capabilities by collaborating with the Studio Manager to improve the facility and workflow
