This role owns the end-to-end electrical scope associated with charging infrastructure, including load analysis, power distribution design, technical specifications, permitting, and execution oversight. The engineer ensures that all systems are code-compliant, scalable, and aligned with operational and budget requirements.

The position plays a critical role in enabling reliable plant operations by ensuring adequate and efficient electrical capacity to support material handling systems.

Power Requirements Analysis & System Definition

• Analyze facility operations and material handling fleet requirements to determine total and peak electrical load for battery charging systems.

• Develop load studies and capacity assessments for integration into plant electrical infrastructure.

• Define electrical distribution requirements including transformer sizing, panelboards, circuit distribution and redundancy considerations.

• Coordinate with facility engineering to validate available plant capacity and upgrade needs.

Engineering Design & Technical Specifications

• Develop electrical design concepts for mobile equipment battery charging stations, battery charging rooms and infrastructure, routing, protection, and safety systems

• Prepare detailed technical specifications and scope of work for bid packages, including equipment requirements, installation standards, and performance criteria

• Ensure designs align with operational efficiency, safety standards, future scalability

• Ensure full compliance with applicable regulations.

• Coordinate inspections and ensure all installations meet regulatory and safety requirements.

• Incorporate best practices.

• Manage bid process including supplier identification, technical evaluations, clarifications and bid leveling.

• Review and approve vendor drawings and electrical submittals.

• Ensure vendor designs align with defined specifications and facility constraints.

• Budget tracking and cost control.

• Manage installation timeline and milestone adherence.

• Coordinate with general contractors, suppliers, internal engineering teams

• Support installation, commissioning, and system validation

• Resolve technical issues during construction and startup phases

• Collaborate with material flow and operations.
