Overview
SCCI is currently seeking a Systems Engineer to join our team in support of the Battle Management System (BMS) family of projects, with a primary focus on applying Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) principles and tools to support the design, development, and delivery of tactical fire control systems. This role bridges systems-level architecture and software implementation, ensuring technical coherence across hardware and software boundaries. You will work closely with customers, end-users, and cross-functional teams to develop system models, define requirements, and support integration and verification activities. The ideal candidate will bring depth in both MBSE tooling and software engineering practice, with the ability to develop rigorous SysML/UML models, engage meaningfully in software architecture discussions, define and analyze message standards and interface control documents (ICDs), and support software integration activities from a systems engineering perspective. This position will closely collaborate across other engineering functional areas, including software developers, hardware engineers, test teams, configuration management, training, and safety to ensure technical coherence across the full system lifecycle. This position is located in Dahlgren, VA.
SCCI offers a comprehensive and competitive benefits package including Health, Dental, Vision, Life and Disability benefits, 401k with Company Match, time off consisting of 2 weeks of paid vacation, 48 hours of sick/personal leave, and 11 paid Holidays.
