- Management and supervisory experience is required.
- Provide hands-on instruction in a classroom/kitchen setting to adult students covering introductory culinary arts topics.
- Must hold or be willing to obtain ServSafe certification upon employment.
- This position requires flexibility to work one or two evenings per week, as scheduled throughout the spring, summer and fall semesters.
- Demonstrate extensive knowledge of and experience in the appropriate subject matter.
- Instruct students in competency-based program curriculum using current instructional strategies appropriate to the subject matter to assure highest quality classroom instruction.
- Effectively manage the classroom to create an optimal learning environment.
- Maintain up-to-date records of student attendance, academic progress and grades as required by district policy and certification/regulatory agencies.
- Ensure syllabus, supply list and lesson plans are current prior to each class taught.
- Demonstrate effective people skills, communication skills and professionalism (i.e. � prepared, reliable, responsible, punctual, etc.).
- Demonstrate an understanding of and commitment to the mission and goals of Tulsa Tech's ACD program.
- Participate in professional development opportunities as required by the ACD department.
- Perform all other duties as may be assigned by management from time to time.

Position Description:
Job Functions for all ACD Instructors:
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent; Graduate of a culinary program preferred.
Shift:
Evening
Salary Schedule:
Standard rate schedule for non-regular (temporary, adjunct, substitute) and regular part-time employees.
Hiring Range:
$30 per hour - Minimum of 5 years experience in a professional kitchen, including management and supervisory experience required.
$35 per hour - Graduate of a culinary program.
