We are currently seeking a qualified individual for the following opportunity in our Toronto office:
MANAGER, HOME WARRANTY CLAIMS
CALGARY OR VANCOUVER
The Manager, Home Warranty Claims, reporting directly to the Vice President, Surety Claims, will be responsible for oversight and management of Home Warranty claims operations, litigation, complaints, and claims-related operational support of the Home Warranty program
Responsibilities include:
- Leading claims system enhancements and operational changes in support of the Home Warranty program.
- Overseeing claims handling to ensure consistency, quality, and sound decision‑making.
- Acting as the primary internal liaison for insured complaints and Ombudsman matters.
- Managing litigation files, including instructing external counsel and participating in mediations, pre‑trials, and settlement discussions.
- Collaborating with underwriting and actuaries on claims reporting.
- Keeping underwriting and senior leadership informed of material claims developments.

Qualifications
- Experience in claims management, litigation oversight, and home warranty operations.
- Demonstrated experience overseeing the management of claims and litigation matters.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Experience working with claims data, reporting, and performance metrics.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in home warranty claims
Work Arrangement:
- This role operates on a hybrid work model. Flexibility for a fully remote arrangement may be considered for an exceptional candidate with the right experience and qualifications.
Salary:
- The expected salary in this position is within the range of $110,000 - $165,000
This salary range reflects the expected base compensation for the role across Canada. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, qualifications, and scope of responsibilities. Trisura provides this range in good faith in accordance with applicable legislation.
