We’re hiring an Income Auditor to Live. Work. Explore. in Death Valley National Park!

Job Summary:
Under the direction of the Accounting Manager, the Income Auditor is responsible for the daily compiling and reporting of all lodging, food and beverage, and other miscellaneous revenues and receipts generated at the Oasis at Death Valley.

The Details:
Position Type: Full-Time, Year-Round
Season Dates: As soon as possible on next available check in date (approximately three weeks)
Pay: $19.35/hr.
Schedule: Typical schedule is 40 hours, 5 days per week (may include weekends, evenings, and holidays)

• Run/obtain reports and compile and input data into Excel spreadsheet of daily revenues and receipts for all non-retail operating units.
• Audit daily envelopes for non-retail operations to ensure proper control procedures are being followed.
• Complete weekly check requests for Wrangler labor and tips, Stables and Massage contractors.

• Minimum three (3) years prior accounting experience, preferably in income auditing.
• Excellent computer knowledge of MS Office Programs especially Excel spreadsheets.
• Ability to use ten-key by touch.
• Must have a valid drivers’ license.
• Ability to handle and strictly maintain confidential information.
• Able to provide quick and productive solutions to a multitude of challenges and/or limited resources.
• Ability to demonstrate sense urgency around deadlines, guest experience and The Oasis at Death Valley branding.
• High level of professionalism, able to follow instructions with follow-up, respect, and integrity.
• Understand oral and written communications, follow detailed directions, and provide clear instructions/directions.
• Basic skills such as: attention to detail skills, reasoning skills and multi-tasking and prioritization skills.
• Excellent computer skills.
• Possess good interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with others in a team environment.
• Responsible for understanding and ensuring compliance with all accounting policies and procedures.
• Responsible for understanding and complying with all Xanterra and Oasis at Death Valley standards.

Physical Requirements include:

• Must be able to work in an office environment.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 30 lbs.
• Must be able to live and work in extreme temperatures.
