Key Responsibilities:

  • Deploy, maintain, administer, and support networks, directories, servers, endpoints, security, and cloud infrastructure, including installation of operating systems, and applications on those systems.
  • Administer and maintain physical servers and virtualization platforms in a multi-hypervisor environment.
  • Maintain and support a dedicated network, including switching, VLANs, and network segmentation.
  • Leverage vendor‑provided scripted installers and images where available for virtual and physical systems.
  • Deploy and configure process control system platforms.
  • Act as a bridge between operational teams and central IT, aligning local systems with enterprise standards.
  • Support remote management tools and access platforms used by operational and support teams.
  • Collaborate with central infrastructure teams on capacity planning, redundancy, and resilience initiatives, including future site consolidation where applicable.
  • Maintain secure segmentation between operational, testing, and enterprise networks.
  • Support monitoring and alerting systems used within the environment.
  • The role requires a solid working knowledge of a broad array of technologies, applications, and services.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of an Associate’s degree in STEM or equivalent experience in addition to the required administration experience
  • Two (2) years of experience administering Server, Storage, or Network technologies
  • Proficiency in at least one scripting technology (PowerShell, Python, or shell etc.)
  • Industry certification (e.g. Microsoft, Cisco, CompTIA, ISC2, ISACA, etc.)
  • Strong documentation and communications skills and the proven ability to produce, maintain, and update technical documentation
  • Strong experience with Windows Server administration and Active Directory
  • Hands-on experience supporting virtualized environments
  • Solid understanding of enterprise networking concepts (switching, VLANs, firewall segmentation)
  • Experience supporting industrial or customer test environments with non-standard system configurations
  • Familiarity with imaging, scripted installs, or automated build processes

 Preferred:

  • Demonstrated interest and aptitude for learning new technologies.
  • Active Directory administration experience.
  • Collaboration tools and platforms.
  • Good understanding of modern cyber security principles
  • IT Service Management concepts and practices.
  • Asset and inventory management using a Configuration Management Database (CMDB).
  • Disaster recovery, business continuity, and recovery principles and processes.
  • Working knowledge of virtual desktop technologies.
  • Demonstrated professional technology project experience.
  • Ability to work independently as a dedicated site resource while coordinating with broader IT teams.
  • Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
  • Experience working in environments with formal change control and operational governance.
