Title: Barista

Location: Boardwalk Cottages/Current

Department: FOH

Reporting Relationship: General Manager > Barista

Supervisory Relationship: N/A

 

Job Summary

This role works alongside the Front of House and Back of House team at the Current Cafe. This role is responsible for taking care of both cafe guests and Cottage guests, and ensuring a positive guest experience. Current Cafe is a fun, upbeat environment where we focus on delicious menu items, great coffee, and community. We are located on property with Boardwalk Cottages in Long Beach, WA.

 

Duties + Responsibilities 

  • Greet guests, take orders

  • Make espresso and craft cocktails 

  • Maintain a clean cafe for guests

  • Prep + stock product 

  • Wash dishes in the kitchen

  • Answer phone calls to assist guests as needed

  • Handle check-ins and checkouts for the Cottages

  • Process laundry to help support the housekeeping team

  • Complete additional sidework as delegated by team (roll silverware, juice fruit…)

Qualifications

  • WA food handlers card on first day

  • MAST alcohol servers permit on first day
  • Must be available nights and weekends

  • Friendly and welcoming attitude 

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time

  • Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
