Would you like to be the OT Technology owner Final Pack production lines at our new automated manufacturing facility in Virginia? In this role you will be the OT responsible onsite in Virginia, and a key player in installation, commissioning and continuous improvement in our Packing technology.
The OT Automation Manager will be responsible for standardizing automation platforms for the Final-Pack area. Will support installation and commissioning of production lines from OT perspective. Identifies and collects continuous improvements for enhanced productivity, usability and serviceability. Duties will include the following:
Drives and defines platform activities to ensure growth and robust production in respect to novelties and element specific changes.
Provides technical guidance for automation and IT architecture for development and design of automation/software for equipment in collaboration with suppliers and mechanical designers.
Ensures modularity and robustness for automation and mechatronics related technology for next generation of production equipment.
Support collaboration development of cross functional team.
Provides IT knowledge to ensure state of the art architecture for a digital future.
Actively engage stakeholders and customers during and post the ramp up phase of new automation equipment.

Operational Technology is a key player for bringing the LEGO bricks in hands of the kids. Join us in making state of the art automation solutions under the Industry 4.0 umbrella. In this position you will play an important role in the installation and the commissioning of new production lines in our new factory in Virginia. You will be working with Platforms in our Final Packing technology and will have the responsibility to innovate and maintain PLC Software and OT equipment. You will be responsible for local PLC software roll out and
implementation hand in hand with stakeholders globally. We need you to bring your expertise in Automation and programming and preferably with knowledge from multiple suppliers. We are starting up a new factory and hands-on automation experience is key for success in this role. You will be working closely with the Global Installation Team, to build up capacity in Virginia and support a more automated landscape for our production sites.
Do you have what it takes?
Bachelor Degree is preferred.
3+ years automation system programming and mechatronics application experience.
3+ years of experience in Allen Bradley PLC system installation / troubleshooting experience (development, design and PLC-programming).
Knowledge of other automation brands and the ability to assess strength and weakness between different solutions.
Experience in ABB Robotics (troubleshooting and programming).
Fluent English, working across time zones and with multicultural teams.
Familiar with Rockwell Automation software environment (Studio 5000 and FactoryTalk Optix Studio).
Experience with machine vision systems (Keyence and/or Cognex).
Experience in Ethernet/IP, MQTT and/or OPC UA.
Hands on experience in functional safety – understand safety controller and electrical diagram design and trouble shooting.
Experience in OT network setup and troubleshooting.
Able to read and write equipment design requirements (e.g. LEGO Technical Specification).
Ability to read/understand electrical drawings.
Preferred
Previous experience working with SAP.
Experience with Python for scripting, automation, and general programming tasks.
Familiarity with EPlan and/or PcSchematic.
Basic IT bridge building competence such as: Experience with DevOps principles like Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) OR Experience with APIs (ReST, OData).

Ability to travel globally 20-50 days a year?

Compensation
The salary for this position has a range of $104,327.00 - $156,491.00 based on anticipated responsibilities, market benchmarks, and organizational constraints. The LEGO Group carefully considers a wide range of compensation factors, including but not limited to prior experience, skills, expertise, location, internal equity, and other considerations permitted by law. The comprehensive remuneration details, inclusive of benefits, will be communicated upon finalisation of the employment offer.Applications are reviewed on an ongoing basis.
